Alexis Young
Hey, my name is Alexis Young and this is my portfolio. My name is Alexis Young. I am currently in the 9th grade and will be graduating in 2014. I’m in healthcare class which has helped prepared me to enter into the health field. I am good at things that include helping people, organization, and accuracy. I have accomplished having highest grade average in my past middle school math class, and literature. I have been introduced to clubs such as: Calhoun Service League, FCA, and Healthcare Occupational Students of America. I’m on the right path to being apart of Beta Club and National Honors Society, and hope to be inducted into both. I intend on going far in all these clubs and also joining others as my High school career continues on. I am also apart of the Calhoun varsity lady’s soccer team. As of right now, I am interested in pursuing a career in the pediatric dental field. Teeth are always what I have notice first on a person’s face and I’ve been interested in helping children ever since I could remember. Currently I have skills such as working with the public, and working with children. From behind the scenes to out on the floor, there are several job positions available in the dental career field. You can work your way up the ladder from the title of dental assistant to dental hygienist on up to the actual dentist. You can also work in the office and work with insurance and bill paying. I believe that if people were interview on behave of myself, they would agree that I have good work ethics and a positive attitude. My final year of middle school I received a great grade when I conducted a research project that included my future career information that also included my future goals to pursue the career of my choice. Even though this PowerPoint presentation doesn’t go along with my current career plans, I am proud to say that is it a good example of how I used my creativeness, organization skills, presentation skills, and time management skills.My PowerPoint includes all the information about the pediatrician career position, as well as goals I will need to reach in order to be successful in the pediatric field. I picked 3 colleges, two in-state and one out-of-state, that I would enjoy being apart of as well as the information about the schools. The presentation includes data from test I have taken to test my multiple intelligence.This simple of work can be located in the Productivity Section on page. My ambition in my life is to be successful in my education as well as in my future career choices. I wish to farther my education and not only be limited to one major. I would like to have a positive impact on ones life whether or not it’s through my career or not.Through out the process of creating my portfolio, I have really become more focused on my goals. I have learned many things about how to right professional letters and collect my work in an organized way.
